Rosie & Stella ...Two Funky and Fun French Gals

Meet Rosie and Stella...

Those of you who know me, know these two beauties are named after my crazy Boxers, Rosie and Stella. Like my pooches these gorgeous nightstands were left abandoned in a shelter -uh- thrift store, to rot... homeless and unloved. Sad, but true, I know. I just could NOT let that happen! Look at their curvy lines, sleek legs, and beautiful French provincial detail. And they're manufactured by Dixie...so they're solid and well made to boot! Have I told you how much I LOVE these night stands....?

Anywhoo! They did come from a thrift store so they needed a little love. They were a bit scratched up...which isn't necessarily a bad thing - I think that adds character. And a good cleaning was in order, a bit of a buff and polish just like my rescued pooches, if you will. The finish was scratched up as you can see in the picture below, and someone's precious angel took a red crayon to the top. But I'm ok with that, because these beauties are going to get a much needed facelift. ---AND THE DRAWER PULLS --- HOW could I forget the drawer pulls.  Two round, cheap, crummy knobs in each hole. REALLY?? They were so bad I took them off before I took the picture. They were THAT insulting to the nightstands. Honestly, they were. So these lovely ladies got a good cleaning and a nice coat of primer. Don't they look refreshed?

I followed this with a lovely shade of one of my favorites - Gloss Berry - to give these girls that funky french chic look they deserve. And then I polished them off with Martha Stewart's Metallic Glaze in Black Coffee Satin, because everyone deserves a bit of a glittery finish! Then some wax for durability of course! The old "insulting" knobs are long gone and have been replaced with these beautiful vintage pulls.

Of course EVERYONE can look good on the outside...but lets see what these ladies have underneath their new digs. Check out their gorgeous paisley paper lined drawers.

Transformation complete!

As much as I would LOVE to keep Rosie and Stella, they need to find a new home with someone who can showcase their beauty much more than I. With that being said these gems are for sale. They would be great for a little girls room, a trendy chic teenagers room, or even end tables in a funky fun living room. The possibilities are endless. Please visit my Etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/RemadeRenegade for pricing and shipping details.

**Update** --I'm so excited to announce that these beauties have been sold and will be traveling to live in Missouri with their new owner!
